Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and passionate French Language Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the French language, exceptional teaching abilities, and a deep appreciation for both the linguistic and cultural aspects of the language. The French Language Instructor will play a pivotal role in guiding students of varying levels and backgrounds towards achieving fluency and proficiency in French.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver comprehensive French language lessons tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students or groups.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages active participation and interaction among students.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to enhance the learning experience and meet diverse learning styles.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching techniques accordingly.
• Develop and implement creative lesson plans that incorporate cultural insights, real-world scenarios, and practical language applications.
• Stay updated with current language teaching methodologies and trends to continuously improve instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors, language program managers, and curriculum development teams to contribute to the enhancement of learning materials and course structures.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievement, and communicate progress to students and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in the French language at a native or near-native level.
• Bachelor’s degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in teaching French as a second language to learners of various ages and backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate students.
• Knowledge of language teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
• Cultural sensitivity and a passion for sharing insights into French culture along with language instruction.
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
• Familiarity with language teaching technologies and online platforms is a plus.
• Teaching certifications (such as TEFL, TESOL, DELF/DALF) will be advantageous.
